


However, we tore our hair out trying to work out how to do it! We trawled through the internet and failed to find much which was any help. We kept finding an effect which showed us how to put objects on a green screen, which was not what we wanted. What we hadn't yet realised was that "chroma key" is actually a general term which contains in it lots of effects, one being putting colour on black and white. When we discovered this, we made our searches more specific, eventually finding this tutorial.
It was a tricky effect, and took a while to master. At first it just wouldn't go right, which was aggravating. However, with a lot of practice and patience we managed to master it, and now have a lovely chroma key effect on some of our slides. Here is an example of one of the clips it was used for.
